Terms and Conditions for Sharing Your Story
Thank you for your interest in sharing your story on www.storyofyourlife.com.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms. The Terms in effect at the time you post a story will be those that apply to your submission.
You authorize Harvest House to post any stories you submit on www.storyofyourlife.com. Although we require that you submit your name and email address, we will not publish that information unless it appears in the box labeled “Story.”
You agree not to submit anything that infringes the intellectual property or other rights of any third party or that is inappropriate in any way. You further agree not to use names, addresses or other identifying information in your story. Instead, use language such as “my coworker,” “my sister,” and the like.
Submission does not guarantee posting. We reserve the right not to post (or to remove postings of) stories that we believe infringe the rights of others or that contain inappropriate content, as well as for any other reason that we deem appropriate. We also reserve the right to edit stories to make them suitable for posting by removing identifying information, correcting typos and the like, as well as for any other reason we deem appropriate. We do not, however, make any representations that we will do so; you are responsible for your own content. You waive any right to inspect or approve the finished version.
If you would like to submit a story to Matthew West for consideration for publication in future albums, please visit www.matthewwest.com and review any terms and conditions posted there. Submission of your story here is not a submission of the story for use or publication by Matthew West.
No confirmation of receipt of entries will be provided.
All submissions become the property of Harvest House. By submitting your story, you grant us and our designates the exclusive right to edit, copy, remove, distribute, create derivative works of and publish such content in any form and medium, whether electronically or in hard copy, whether now known or hereafter developed, and whether alone or as part of a collective work.
You will not receive any payment or other consideration for your submission or for any future use of it by us or our designates.
We reserve the right to retain names and contact information acquired from all entries and to use information to send you marketing and promotional materials.
You agree to indemnify and hold Harvest House and its affiliates, owners, officers, agents and employees harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs at arbitration, on trial or on appeal, in addition to all other sums provided by law, arising out of your submission.
